What belongs on a café's weekly order
A practical checklist we give new café accounts — the case sizes and lines that keep a small kitchen running.
After setting up a few dozen café and takeaway accounts, the same pattern emerges. Here's the starter order we usually suggest — tweak it to your menu and your covers.
The core weekly lines
- Milk by the crate (12-pint × 6) — size to your coffee volume, not your fridge space.
- 1kg coffee beans × 4 and a backup box of sugar sticks.
- Foil trays, cling film and napkins by the case — catering disposables are always cheaper by the case.
- Soft drinks and water trays, especially for summer shelves.
Watch the dates, not the prices
A case price that looks cheap with three weeks of shelf life costs you more than a fair price with six months. We print best-before dates on every invoice line so you can see what you're actually buying.
